I have to pay due credit to Anthony Pols from The Ding Shop, 0404 804 498, Gold Coast - the man is a real artisan when it comes to repairs.
This is the second time I've taken my carbon boards to him and images speak for themselves, the man is a real painter. Not only his repairs are solid but he also goes above and beyond to match your paint jobs. The first job was a carbon crack when my board got dropped by DHL in transit from Puerto Rico. He not only fixed the crack but he matched the fade Orange to Yellow paint job in a way that I was almost unable to see where it had been repaired. He charged me 40.00 and I was impressed.
This time, on a double Kevlar reinforced board the damage looked 10 times worse. My Jeep and I took a flying leap complete with trailer on some dunes at Double Island beach highway as I was trying to get to camp before dark, big mistake. Even though the board was in a cover the crunch was massive as I took flight on a dune I couldn't see at dusk, doing about 80kms (dumb, I know). Anyway the board must have hit something rather solid as you can see from the cracks in the photos.
So, he says: No prob mate, you wont even see it. I didn't doubt his intension but nevertheless I was even more pleased with the result. He not only matched the colour rather well, but he also took the time to align the strings of Kevlar reinforcement - WOW!!! And he charged me 50.00.. who would ever complain about such craftsmanship or rates?
Don't take my work for it - have a look . I was already a converted customer, so I think I should share the stoke and give credit to where it's due.
This website is know for putting people down (trust me, I know) - how about we put people up?
Disclaimer: he doesn't know I am doing this.. next time you see him give him a pat on the back for me

I have also had stuff repaired by Polsy, great work at a price that make it hard to justify stuffing around doing it yourself.
