Just a reminder that it is forbidden to rig and launch at the Dog Beach and and all along the foreshore. It is ok to kite upwind into this zone though.
Please fellow kiters, if you see kiters (2 today again...argg) on the way to your kite at Attadale or Wally and see them walking across the fields with gear, or worse, setting up along the Nature Reserve, then....just pull the car over and inform them that it is forbidden................not hard...takes max 5 min. to do this......the kiters are always greatfull to be told where to go and move on down the road....they just don't know.
Remember, "There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know." DR
Jeez Nick now we know that you knew and if you had known that we didn't know we don't know why you didn't make it known to the few when we thought you knew we would do.
My understanding was that anything from where the fence starts back towards Applecross foreshore to 50m out is a no go for any sort of water craft. (ie all water in front of dog paddock)
Anything from where the fence starts (ie Dog beach) towards Pt Wally is fair game.
