Hi, fixing up couple old bandits & looking for one pump valve alternatives that are more durable. Maybe slingshot, ozone?
Opening in bandit's struts & LE is 24mm. Are most one pump valves the same diameter at base (where it seats into the dacron)?
Prefer to stay away from f-one valves, they don't last. I've replaced all on a 5 strut bandit before, exspensive lesson.
Plan on getting them from fixmykite but most are sold out. Any other sellers in Australia? Might get one of each & report back here on the longest lasting. Cheers.

I just had all the valves replaced on 3 bandits. I live in Indo and the guy who fixed them lives in Bali and his name is Kadek . Pm me if you want his whatsapp number. He might be able to steer you in the right direction.

A month later.

Have you considered re-gluing them back? If the valves are not breaking apart, crumbling or split (Naish Octopus valves are renowned for this), you should be able to reglue them back on. PM for details.

geez - really ?
Fix-my-kite valves I rate highly - they just work ( but yes work out expensive when you have to replace all outlet/inlet strut valves) but still a better option until someone makes the same and undercuts their expensive price per valve (cornered market)
And the connection tubes - Clark rubber blue exercise tube works fine for the main bladder to strut connection on F-one kites
Oh and they usually break at the beak before the glue on the strut or main bladder let go so you will need a hair dryer to help peel the old valves off the strut/main bladder - forget the glue idea, youll be back in a few short weeks to replace the whole valve !! It is what it is!

Took a gamble on some cheap ebay valves after seeing a similar type sold here for 10x the price. Got the clear to see any bubbles when gluing on. Base scuffed up well with some sandpaper. Really good fit, caliper measurements in photos are accurate. Softer than f-one, closer to the inflate/deflate valves density. They always seem to last longer.

Have reglued valves in the past with success but these ones were a little past it. Only one session in but so far so good. Let you know how they go. Cheers
