Hi all, looking to get several metres of 12" unidirectional carbon for a couple of projects. A google search for local suppliers yields very few products and exorbitant prices compared to international ebay options. I'm fine with buying from overseas via ebay but wondering if you have local suppliers with reasonable product range and price?

I have purchased from these guys previously. Not sure what you consider an exorbitant price but I thought it was decent.
Check whether there is a local boat builder or fibreglass supply place that stocks FGI if you want to go local.
Thanks, that works for me. I'd been to their site but somehow only saw the narrower tapes which work out much more expensive per square metre. Carbon ordered - project time!
A few suppliers I'd recommend, agree Google searches for this stuff is really hard. Play with carbon do some cool stuff in vac bag supplies too.
Shapers.com.au - good range, ok prices. Do more rail tapes than sheets of carbon. Good for small quantities and ship anywhere.
Sanded.com.au - do some interesting alternative materials including basalt and innegra. May have some carbon tapes. Bit pricey, but cool products.
Colan.com.au - need to order descent quantities, but have anything imaginable.
Fibreglass and Resin Supplies - WA supplier in Welshpool. Good prices, have basic uni directional and bi directional carbon tapes and sheets.
My 2 cents.
Yes, well, shipping from the US is fc#k
Tried to order some v69 threads (coz can't buy a small spindle in AU):

Shipping $60? C'mon...
I have 6oz clear cloth with carbon twine 10 mm apart if you like using on my deck and off cut on the bottom
Thanks all, went with the 500mm uni from play with carbon for this project. Good to have options. Happy building!
