the ruffryder is ON today!
yeah yeah, got 2 hours in this morning, SSE 20-25kn & pretty well lit on the 11m Nomad!
I see we have a severe weather warning for the remnants of TC Neville crossing the coast south of Townsville tonight.....gusts to 50 knots.....could be on for the late sesh on the 8m!
If you ride Olga in the morning and Nev in the afternoon, does that mean you are gay, bi- , or just a typical Cab-driver?
Heres one from yesterday playing with Nev. Had a bit of an experience with my harness's seat belt webbing breaking just as i dowlooped my kite at the end of a massive boost. In 30KTs plus my kite dissapeared a good 50 m in the air landing just in the shore break where my missus dived on the kite before it ended up in the trees.
What an experience, i didn't think it was possible to break that seat belt webbing like that! Wild experience seeing your kit dissapear in the distance everything still attached!!! I was still shaking an hour later from sheer adrenaline rush, Andy checked the winspeed on his gauge when we got back in (it had picked up even more) and it was peaking at 38 Knots. Biggest jumps ive ever done, people on the beach saying over 50 FT just before my harness broke.
I would't mind calling myself bi if i got to ride two storm systems in the one week, let alone the same day! One out of the box yesterday!!! Yeah Ha!!!
"....down-looped MY kite.." ??
I thought it was your missus' new 10m rebel?
No doubt she was watching horrified from the shore as her new toy went sailing away....
...you might have to be Bi-Al if you want to borrow any more gear, as I think you've used up your brownie points with Chris!
We had 20-25 most of last week in Port Moresby..... 55 knots at hula!!! a few crew made it out for a session or three. Bloody NW winds mess me up though everything is backwards....
Good old Olga came back for a second pass, blessing us with 30-40knots of NNE - in a brief respite from the rain, a few of the boys got out for a wild ride at Horseshoe Bay this arvo, including Bretto down from Port Douglas.
