I think the above vid is Dave Edwards or "Trumpet" as he used to be known when he kited. Remember the guy that tried to jump the rocks at kite beach in Maui, that was Dave.
Compilation of his riding and constant rocks jumping in the early days at Kite Beach Maui
Gee he likes jumping those rocks maybe he would be up for jumping the gold coast offshore cruise ship terminal once its constructed that would make a great cover shot on the front of the Gold Coast bulletin .
Yep that's Dave Edwards.
He is one skilled individual. He's one of those guys that operates at a completely different level.
He still kites by the way. He's one of the best wave kiters in NZ.

Thats like being one of the best rugby players in switzerland.
Or one of the best gamblers in germany.
Or one of the prettiest women in new zealand.
Thats right, your women are ugly.

For a guy who looked like he kooked the loop and fail deployment of the first chute he looked pretty calm and composed overall
same dave from wings and waves?
if so hes had some crazy ****ing students come out of there. few years ago i watched as we all told one off who had had his pg2 licence for a couple months try to .... no **** launch up into the catabatic wind (yes faceing the peak) on the mountain and try to turn and burn down the cliff.
also hes tried to flog off tandem wings to non tandem pilots etc, all sorts funny things going on there.

nearly all pg pilots will have a reserve. the exception is new pilots and some coastals. chute takes alot of altitude to open so your basicly better off trying to sort out your wing rather then throwing the reserve at low altitude (coastal)
wheres our canopy sport section laurie?
wish i had my videos with me of my flights from mt maunganui really nice spot.
the little barrell rolls on the mini/speedwings is like boosting a big jump kitesurfing.
generally not that impressive at all if you know anything about it. but boy does it get grandma and the kids hollering
Love the idea of flying with the birds and coastal cruzin been looking at a pg course for couple months as another sport to get into it's either that or going back to skydiving(only got couple jumps) just can't choose at least winds been good here so kites been up most days to keep me happy
