Never thought I'd say this but Dre will need to lift his game to keep up with the new generation. Sure he's still smooth but there's nothing new here, or in his last few cab promos.
Sam steals the show this time with interesting off-axis variations and tweaks. Flowing very nicely. Two thumbs up.
As for the graphic message that kiting is something done by men while women loll about as fashion accessories, I think it's a stupid message.
I read all this "nothing new" crap everytime some one posts a video.
Unless you can produce better riding and better videography your opinion is worthless IMO. Your time would be better spent learning how to shoot videos so you can appreciate them better.
:)
Loved those photos of Dre over the turquoise water that came out of those Caribbean sessions on the latest Cabrinha magazine ads...

I'm glad some of you guys enjoyed the video!! :) I can't believe we hit 70,000 views in only 3 days!! wooop wooop!
Thanks again for those who 'Shared' it and continue to 'Share' so that the world can see that kiteboardin is fun!!
Word up? Are you cameo? Joking aside, sick vid and production, as far as Djdojo's comments go, well maybe you should stop taking everything so seriously and lighten up and have some fun.
Regarding Dre's riding i do not agree!
IMO it's timeless. Still no one coming close to his level of smoothness... Besides there are are always some small new bits or varieties just take closere look!
Sam has a nice bag of tricks and actually has some style but Dre is well ahead!! Mobes for example: Everybody does em nowadays but have a look at Dres mobe at 1:30 what a perefct flow!
I reckon it's genetics though! So it´s not Sam's lack of practise or anything he simply doesnt seem to have the right disposition!
junglist,
that angry bird was going mental!! we basically stood on a 50 foot cliff that we wanted to jump off of but it happened to be next to its nest. We weren't showing any signs of hostility but he wanted us gone!! he kept swoopin in and even hit us a few times before we jumped!
I kept pausing the vid and kiters weren't in the frame!
Smooth riding styles, like it. Not my style of choice, but loved the consistent movement through the whole action...
and yeh the pausing shots....damn!
Great kiting, setting, music, editing. I didn't get any sense that girls should dance in bikinis and not kite- they seemed to be having a good time.
Maybe it's just following a rap video tradition, but what made my skin crawl was the video's vibe of showing off wealth (not just kiting) to the locals, and not showing love for their work.
Transport, hotel, restaurant, & bar staff were all used by the crew, but aren't worthy of celebrating as "island time".
I'm sure the film crew didn't intend any colonialist "natives are revolting" stuff. I'm jus' sayin'...
wow! there's a lot of hating going on in this thread. We were in no way trying to show off "wealth" nor were we trying to make a rap video... haha where do people get these comments from?
We were just giving people a glimpse of how we do it over here in the Islands. We wanted to show that kiteboarding can be a pretty fun lifestyle and that's why we like to do it.
If you like it share it... if not thats your prerogative.
Can't please everyone!! But we had fun pleasing those who liked it :)
Unfortunately there are a lot of idiots in Australia mate, they take life way too seriously and read way too much into a fun, sick and free video. That comment about showing off wealth and not respecting the locals is just plain ridiculous and embarrassing to Australians....
Nicely put together edit Dre and Kitescoopers.
Dre showing the effortless smoothness in his riding as always.
The mans a legend and has helped to evolve the sport in a positive way.
Any of these negative commenters trashing the riding all I can say is show us your chops! Show us your skills come on I need to see it on here so we can all provide you with 'positive feedback' or some friendly advice.
I am working on my first video now and look forward to sharing it with everyone especially the David and Margarets on here.
For those who are not into wake style, new school etc. What are you into?
