I always like how they show the kite in action and all the different footage angles that relate to what we do... or dream of doing.

I agree, that last OZONE wave kite video just showed a guy carving on waves with hardly any shots of the kite flying/turning/drifting. Everyone was frothing over this new kite, he could have been on any kite for a lot of the shots.

If someone is trying to sell me a kite I want to see the kite, turning/boosting/slackline/drifting/relaunching etc. Not shots of the rider doing the latest unhooked/strapless trick.

Actually any brand that has good "kite" action footage i enjoy watching - we just need a Drone that can handle 40 Knots... or someone to hack one of them Military ones
- if the kite or rider is crap, well theres that Red thumb button

Inspirational guy......awesome footage ..... Agree with comments on kite view , it's frustrating that the kite is not shown more in some ads....even more frustrating is when there are supposed tutorials on manoeuvres that don't show the kite (trying to tack on a foil at the moment!)

I wish all videos were just footage of kites flying, so we could see how well they work.

I can imagine how hard it must be to kite with a selfie stick and ravel off marketing info all at the same time... not sure anyone does that.. and throws his tricks in one handed while still talking in his Greek ascent..

But hey, never mind what anyone says - the kite footage speaks for itself, no marketing gimmics there...

Always love Dimitri's videos, he just oozes style, has anyone actually given the kites a go, how do they sit quality wise, performance wise, what are the bars features, EastCC do you guys still sell them, or does anyone in aus?

Hey Greggor, no we are not doing Epic this season. There are no Epic dealers or demo's in Australia anymore, all orders are direct through Epic.

The 5G line up, I know the renegade has more screamer in it so expect a better hangtime, but the 5G screamer has not changed really besides the larger inflate valve. I doubt the Infinity has changed a great deal either. The Screamer 10LTD I don't know.

Quality wise they are on the same level as other brands, performance - well it depends on what you like in a kite.

Bar features - adjustable 48-55cm, BTB swivel, pull/pull trimming (I personally prefer a cleat) with very long throw and stopper ball. 24m lines, single front line flagging. Quite a neat QR, comfortable grip. My gripes - the hard bar ends and the grip is too soft, the throw is a bit too long for me.

Greggor - yes the Screamers go big, just read the reviews... Launching on flatwater with no ramps, is where youll easily see the difference between brands... add a ramp and you'll probably scare yourself.

Got a new Woo jump gadget the other week - only managed 1 jump off a knee high kicker and measured 45ft, though have gone bigger - then got pummeled... and then too dangerous to hold down the 9m.

Got a new 7m Screamer ready to go for tomorrow, 30+ knots should be in the Sweet MegaLoop zone and will be interesting to see what the gadget says

Use the large inflate attachment on your pump and push it over the outside of the valve.
It will stay on there while you pump up.
Hey presto - pumping is much easier and quicker, and it stops the valve from stretching.

Try it, you will

Why don't you stock them any more? Just a personal preference or a change in their distribution channels?

Dimitri is an awesome rider, he doesnt take life too seriously as he makes really good kites that "fly" well.
The bar and lines arent to my taste. Construction is the same as every other brand kite wise.

Dimitri has a market worldwide, the kites do exactly what they state. His go big kite, rips like a fuel, has the ease of going big likr a RPM, torch, and the hangtime of an ozone edge.
