Am heading to Fiji (round Namotu) in early May for 10 days. Who has been there that time of year? Does it blow? I can take 3 kites, 6,10,13? Love to hear any reviews...

My lawyer will be in contact with you soon about
the unauthorised reproduction of my holiday snaps,
they were labeled To Be Destroyed for obvious reasons

I had fiji good but for sure its not maui when it comes to wind - comes and goes. week by week i reckon. As for suping couldbreak the sweep /rip with the wave in sooooo fast and so powerful you get towed underwater for ages with a sup and cannot get to your quick release/ankle velcro /let go of your board so you can get to surface - because you get stretched out of the huge volume of the sup. Then if you release teh board to get to surface you are then in a whole new world of sh1t that you dont want to be in. Info from 2 friends that went out while i crapped myself at teh prospect of going out on a shortboard in was huuuuuge. That place gets the heart pumping!

To early in the season usually but we have 55 knots at the moment (cyclone)!! Also you cant launch off the beach at Namotu. You can do a water launch unless you stay on the Island.

So if you stay on the island you can launch off the beach?

So you can kite to all the breaks from Namotu?

Hows that for localism. Wonder how that would go down at my local "you don't live here, you can't use this beach" I'd probably get punched in the head. bula more like bull****

Well its a very small private Island not a public beach. Not trying to be hostile just better to give the information than coming all the way out to find out you cant rig here and get more upset
