Just passing through Gero at the moment and i was just chasing some local info of where to kite in a SE'ly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Gaz.
Drive around the south side of Point Moore, and theres a pile of spots as the point arches around towards back beach.
The wind is not due until Saturday by the way, when I get back to Gero
In SE'er, best to stick to the areas highlighted in yellow.
Anything else is just asking for a one-way downwinder out to the Abrolhos.
BTW, never tried it, but I'm told that you can kite the Greenough Rivermouth, if there's enough water in it. It broke the bar last week so might be a bit low.
depends on your skill set Robbo, those who risk often reap....and occasionally escape death
Skill set is only half the game -- no matter how skilled, all it takes is one little broken widget/leaky valve/ snapped line, etc. to change the equation significantly and ruin your day. It's a long swim to Sunset from Hell's -- especially with the wind in your face and no cray boats around...
BTW, must meet up for a beer sometime --keen to pool resources for some summer downwinders to Coros later this year. What part of town are in?
