I will come to Gold Coast for kiteboarding from Dec 20 -23.
Where is the best spot for kiting (flat water)?
What is the Wind range in Dec ?
Not really many spots for kiting flatwater on the Goldcoast. Wind range is around 15-25knots NE seabreeze.

hahahaha. No worries.
The traffic was kind of what I was thinking of and the fact you really need a boat to get to the best spots. I think the beaches are a safer prospect for most in a NE summer breeze. Maybe you can show them some spots . Maybe you will be rewarded with beer .
Thanks for your reply.. Any Boat go there regularly ?
Someone told me KFC is the best place.. Where is KFC ?

Thank for your help.
I will go Shearwater. Let me know if you need any kite gears in good p..
from Cabrinha..
Was kiting on the gold coast in december 2 years back. Good NE sea breeze, sunny and hot, not many flat water spots though. KFC is flat-ish. Especially on low tide and when you go over the sand bars and behind the little islands over there in the middle. Mega shallow though and you have to cross the boat channel (deep) to get back so not the best place to stack and have to swim back. Someone said it was sharky but wasn't too worried, never dipped my butt for more than a few seconds though. And there's the boat traffic.. Shearwater was lots bumpier, more open water and no little islands so the chop picked up more over there I found.
