Hardness of old kites?

Has anyone else noticed that old kites (3-4 seasons) don't pump up has hard as they used to? Or am i imagining it? Thoughts??

old kites pump up fine. It's the quality of the glues and hence valves that deteriorate over time more quickly than the bladders. The kite itself can be just as good too.

I did get a bit of a semi on when I got my new kites though
