I simply count the number of wrap-arounds and multiply it by the length of the bar.

I ask because I was surprised my longest lines are only 23m, when I thought they were 27-30m long. My average line lengths are 18 to 20m.

This maybe a little high tech.
But have you tried reading the little tab sewn to the lines that tells you the length?

That'd be hard to do. Given the amount of wank you post, your piccolo must be worn away to a nub.

Wrong you need them for your diagonal set outs
When you profile your house
Well I'm a stickler for a level square house
You need the steel tape as the fibreglass ones stretch

I know an easier way if you have no tape measure or tag on lines;

1. Put harness on.
2. Larks head all lines to back of harness.
3. Put chicken loop over post at beach.
4. Run as fast as you can away from post counting your steps as you go. Your steps will roughly be 1m so if you can remember the number you counted to later you will know the length of your lines. (It's far more accurate if you're running fast, so be sure to run as fast as possible).

No need to thank me.
