Given the propensity of kitesurfing 'fashion' to follow the dictates of the tween section at Kmart I think this is a remarkably successful choice. I like it.

Wow, you guys have really bad taste in t-shirts.

Except the 3rd placer, that is much more deserving of being in 1st place.
The t-shirt orders will prove this statement right.

No offence to the 1st & 2nd placers, congratulations, but I know you guys didn't seriously expect to win.

Leaving my entry out, there were much more deserving entries with more merit and creativity.

Democracy is a bitch sometimes eh? I didn't vote for John Howard but I had to put up with him for 12 years.

Now does anyone know how those Simon Anderson Surftechs go? Leaning towards the XFC Ultraflx 6'0 or 6'1 at the moment, but tempted by the DK 5'10 Quad.....decisions, decisions........

Sure can be, but we all accept it and live with it for the freedoms it affords us.

The trouble with your reasoning is that it wasn't a democratic vote, if it was, the winner would have been announced the day after the voting finished, the first time.

There was always gonna be a final call made by a head judge, their decision was made for what ever reason

Haven't heard many people speaking in favour of the winning design.

The 3rd placer design should at least be available for sale, maybe when the other two don't sell...

But what do I know, right?
I'm just jealous that I didn't win [}:)]

Now, I agree with most of you, I didn't expect to win and I think there were some top quality entries, like these for example....

but I'm not going to argue with the judges decision.

Congrats to the other winners and thanks to Seabreeze and Surftech.

It's to be expected that in an art competition there will always be "sprited debate" over who should / shouldn't have one.

I emailed entrants and had a great time talking with them, and was great to hear that they had wicked fun thinking about & creating their entry.

By all means, post up your favourite shirt & have fun discussing, but be good about it - no need to slag off entries or entrants...

I'd like to again extend my gratitude to everybody who entered - heaps of fun was had by all, and my apologies the selection of the winners took so long!

still lame..... Who has 'wicked fun' thinking about and discussing their entry?? more kiting is wicked fun..

First it was Kitepower with their coloring in comp, now seabreeze tshirt comp.. Maybe time to change angles? How about seabreeze organise a comp or a BBQ day with the local retailers? With all the classified ads on seabreeze and with traffic from advertising you cant tell me your short on $$$

I picked Tobes as the winner from the first week - he was one of the first to upload his design! It's a good generic design that won't date quickly... Tee-shirts are hard, you need to make something that appeals to everyone, but isn't too bland etc. I'd buy one, but I don't trust myself with a white shirt... Gonna get any printed on Grey or Black Laurie?

Thats why I wear red - can't see the tomato sauce stains

Thanks again to everybody who entered, it really was wicked fun. A heap of effort goes into these comp's, not just those who help create & administer the campaign, but all the entrants as well.

There are amazing designs in there if you take the time to look. Some guys have sketched stuff out in pencil, scanned them in - great skills.

Personally, I'm in awe of the effort people put in, and part of the reason for the delayed announcement was avoiding the pain of knowing that some folks would be let down as there were some many winning designs.

Great effort to all & thanks again for everybody who got stuck in..

Tobes is gonna be stoked with his new board .. he's chosen the 6'0" XFC Ultraflx (valued at around $850). Others walked away with GoPro cameras & Sunnies.

Regards shirt colours, trying to find a solution to get lots done as the new digital printing is amazing these days, but every design x shirt size x colour is exponential.

Might have to go the Ford Model-T policy. Any colour as long as it's black.
