A foil kite is a kite made from one or more sheets of aluminium foil, or a conventional kite lined with foil, ridden in the belief or hope that it shields the user from threats such as electromagnetic fields, mind control, and mind reading
heavy weather for you
I actually watched 3 mins of that kid mowing his lawn, just waiting for something to happen.
Kinda hypnotic. I bet as soon as i turned it off all hell broke loose.
Isn't it amazing that people around the world are enjoying the sport of kitesurfing, without EVER venturing into these forums to see the crap we all dish out.
I member kiting now. That's what I do between 24-28 degrees and 8-12 knots on a foil kite in my yellow wetsuit.
Jeepers you guys are a tough crowd to please :)
The guy is actually a pretty good kiter, if the light wind stuff is too boring for you, he does some good kiteloops in this video.
Err can someone correct my stupid brain, but that video does not show loops done on a foil kite - but on a normal LEI kite. Am I missing a screw or two? Also, where is the paraglider action!?
On the note of paraglider or using a kite surfing kite for paragliding check this out!
Just to complete the thread hijack:
- Ozone is possibly the most successful paraglider manufacturer and their competition wings dominate.
- F-One kites are designed and built by Gin Gliders. They're Ozone's only real rival on the competition scene and winner of this year's world cup. They're a much bigger company than Ozone and make wings for a lot of other companies.
- Advance design and build the North Ace. Advance have been around for years and have a reputation for superior quality. They're like the BMW of the paraglider world.
This has been on before, a few years ago too, but does show the convergence of paragliding and kitesurfing!
