I have justed started to attempt jumping and need advice regarding sheeting in to get the biggest air.

If I start with the kite at 10 oclock and move it to 1 oclock - should I start sheeting in from the beginning of my turning of the kite (at 10) OR at 11 OR when the kite is at 1 oclock

Also any other tips for getting the big air appreciated

Cheers

Sheet the kite in once you've got some air, you'll get some hangtime.

1. bear downwind to gain extra speed
2. edge hard(and head back upwind) with most of your pressure on your backfoot
3. compress knees and jump(read:ollie)
4. while doing 3 send kite backwards(c kite as is, sle sheet out slightly, bow sheet out quite a bit to build kite speed)
5. hang on
6. as you start heading up pull the bar towards you
7. do trick
8. point your board downwind and fly the kite down and in the direction you want to go.

height and hang time affected by:
* the faster you are going
* the harder you edge
* the flatter the water
* the windier it is(generally, unless you are so overpowered you can't hold an edge)
* the more aggresive you are
* blah-d blah blah
