Hi , mate has a kite,Cabrinha drifter, that flies dramatically to one side.
Bar line length are perfect, bridle lines are same length. steering tip lines are same.
But in air one staring line looks longer than other.
Only thought is bladder has twisted kite in air .
Hard to see 22mtr off ground but on ground all looks the same.
anyone had this.?? bit of a mystery.
At present flying only with a 150mm pig tail on one side or kite wont fly.
All lines are same on kite and new bar

thanks

Yep, probably a twisted leading edge.

Use the search function to see other posts on the same topic, such as this one:

Follow the instructions outlined by Ben from Ikon.

My wife had the same issue on a Core kite she got 6 years ago that was almost new at the time. We took pictures clearly showing the kite was not symmetrical. Despite the kite still being under warranty, they didn't do anything about it.

If that's your issue as well, you can only fix it to a certain extent, it's unlikely it will ever be perfect and likely that it will gradually come back to being twisted.

Good luck,

Christian

Does that model of drifter have 2 different colours of dacron in the leading edge? If it does this was a known issue back in the day when Cab used 2 colours of dacron in the LE.

Pump it up indoors and look for where the asymetry is?
