I thought I would start a new thread on this because I think people could save a bit of money if we knew what brand bars will work with other brand kites , for example will a cabrinha overdrive bar work with a naish draft ? To possibly answer my own question , I have seen a video of a guy using a 2009 cabrinha bar with a 2013/14 naish draft 14 meter kite.Judging by what I saw the rider did not appear to suffer any set backs by using that combo . I'm not yet sure how to post the link , but you can find the vid on you tube , just search 14 m naish draft if it interests you .

I think it depends on how the kite safety works. If the kite flags out on one line, bar will need to do the same, however kites that flag out on two lines I believe it wont really matter what the bar does. I recently tried my Ozone Reo's bar (one line flag system) with my Core XR3 kite (two line flagg system) and it worked fine. Not sure if it effected the performance though as the wind was light. I'd just give it a go in light wind and pull the safety to see how it goes.

A bar is a bar and 'thats it !!!!!!!!!!!

Theres NO magic except the ripoff price they try to justify

... assuming it has equal line lengths and a flagout line - any bar will do, just change the pigtails to suit..

Watch some utube clips on bar tuning before using it... and your away.

pretty basic and saves a fortune

Nah save the whales,

Agree on the price rip $ 720 for a new naish bar and lines ! There Trippin,
But if you use a bar that has a short bar throw on kite that was designed to depower on a set of bar and lines with a long bar throw you can get one hell of a hot launch, happened to me.

Be great to hear from any who uses naish park with a different manufacturers bar and lines ???

2014 Griffin bar 24 meter lines on a 2012 Naish park worked for me.
Can also add Ozone and Peter lynn sl bar.
Also when it's really windy trim the bar to be fully de powered.
Takes the sting out of a launch.

Only a rip off because of all the taxes they jam on it after they ship it over from china land.

Nice video mate! Looks like next to no winds on a 14mt too!? Do you know the location? Looks like a river system?

Sorry - I took for granted that kiters with "lessons" would check the standard throw first my mistake...

'Switch bar' if you want a strong, long throw, well priced bar - very Under taxed though

Unfortunately I don't have any info on location of that video ! If you listen to the audio its a review by adventure kiteboarding .com probably over in the US judging by his accent . He reckoned it was very windy but the water was very shallow hence so flat . I found it when I was looking for info on the draft before I bought one .

Looks like these guys are in Milwakee, Wisconsin.... not exactly the kind of place that you would associate with kiteboarding right ?
