Hi all i am traveling to Bintan late August 2016 (4 weeks away) and taking my gear.
Does anyone know of the best spots??
I am staying at Lagoi and can i kite there this time of year?
If not where should i go and how much would a taxi cost to Trikora from lagoi?

I understand Agro is probably the best but its a long way away from Lagoi..
Any help would be marvellous from a felly kite buddy.

Agro is resort access only, don't know how they go with that. Flat safe water over crowed on weekends. Take your big kites. Don't know the other spots you speak of.
There is a tour operator next to Agro that can get you to some secluded bits for a price but still generally light winds. Nice part of the world though! Enjoy.

Kited there last year, not a bad beach break, waves were better than I expected

Most of the Sing kiters go there.

Bintan is relatively undeveloped, Trikora is really just a beach witth a bit of grass, there is a place to eat and hang out.Friendly crew.

It is light wind and it is seasonal. So bring big kite.

Wont be too hard or expensive to get there from where you are, there is always someon one in Asia with a car/motorbike who will taxi you somewhere.

Also try a down winder, geet someone to drop you 5-10kms upwind, was good way to cheeck out the coast and try to spot some reef breaks if yoy are up for that.
