Why is it that people are railing on low height stuff ????

Why not make Big arse ones & use the trippin kite to boost up there - instead of ski boat style stuff maybe the X games will take notice and it will be huge !!!!!

Nothin flash or dangerous to attract mega Sponsorship Dollars compared to "Back Looping a motorcross bike"

Boosting up onto a rail believe it or not is less dangerous than keeping you kite low and popping on or riding onto a large one. Getting stuck on the upwind side with your kite low is dangerous, dangling underneath it on the upwind side isn't.
Its the same with boosting in general, doing a big jump may appear dangerous to those that don't know, but keeping you kite low and hauling arse into a wakestyle move has much greater consequence.
Also I think it would be hard to boost onto a high rail and do anything that is going to look any good or appeal to any other board sports (or even spectators), all that will happen is people will be tipy toeing on the rail dangling under their kites.

I can see where your comming from though and is a good idea in theory.

I don't want to be noticed.
I don't want kiting to be huge.
I don't want to promote red bull.

I just want to do my thing at my local with some low-key crew who can enjoy the simple pleasures of kiting without needing to create a circus around it.

Yeah and why do Dre and all the "wakestyle crew" hardly ever do many handle passes over them anymore. I reckon kiters could do at least 3 surface passes on some of those longer rails no worries.

Cause it's about STYLE. And it's hard to look stylish while doing 3 handle passes on a single rail. Anything slow and smooth looks good, to fit in multiple spins it starts looking messy and you look like a ballarina having an epileptic fit.

Just a question here, what do you consider small? For example the Core sliders, do you think they are small? I know they may look it from a helicopter or in a video, but when you are approaching some of those rails, or more importantly having to transport them to the beach they are pretty big hahaha.

haa yeah Rowdy (I read above too)

I was thinkin along the lines of that ... if it can be done low level, then Raise the bar to maybe 10 - 15 foot.

Why not make everyone skill up
the first person who does will make everyone else look 2nd rate and become a Legend for doing it and write a new page in kiteing history. Theyll obviously have to have better kite control to slide in at speed...

Anyone who can jump, knows you can go for height speed & distance but the new skill will bring it closer to a true aerial-kiteing style combination that would blow peoples minds for sure - rather than copy something which is best done by other means etc

As far as getting hurt goes well we all enjoy sports where theres blood involved - Big wave kiteing/surfing, footy, boxing, telling the misses to make dinner & home videos where people people trash themselves

Who Dares Wins - it separates the Men & Women from the boys & girls

It all starts with a thought ??????

it would be cool if people downlooped to get extra power on the rail, thats a new trick kiteloop railslide imagine doing that with a handlepass :)

I reckon solid presses look alot better than spinning on a rail. If your going to spin, spin 270 on and off. Coming off a rail with speed also looks ten times better than flopping off 180. Cam P in the Core footage was hookin. Looked so good. What do you reckon is the most photogenic feature to hit? Wall rides and banks look sick but they're a massive project. I'm really keen to put a little build together

You can make just about anything look good in a photo. Build whatever you can.
