Hi all,

did anybody know which Island at fiji is great for kitesurfing?
I'm in New Zealand at the Moment and want to get to Fiji in January.
Would be great if someone could give me some tips!

Cheers

I have been investigating Malolo lailai for a trip next year, I have never been but it sounds like a good place for kiting. There are probably better places but I am somewhat limited by a missus who does not kite and refuses to rough it for the sake of a kite adventure.

Beqa island has a nearby sandbar called honeymoon island that is pretty sick.

If you want a sweet flat water place all to yourself its a go. Only problem is youll be staying at Kulu bay resort - not the liveliest of places, and they might charge you a bit to get out to the sandbar. I'd recommend striking a deal on the number of trips to the sandbar before you book, seems like the resort is pretty quiet, so might be struggling for business (aka ball is in your court)

Don't go just for kiting in January. NZ smokes Fiji for kiting this time of year. Fiji smokes nz for tropical goodness in winter...

So all that Indian food has you wasted away to 30kg, Warren.
Now the 9 is your light wind kite.

Ps. Ditto on losing the shell.
