Kitestock returns to Dongara/Port Denison next year from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 January 2012 for what promises to be a long, long weekend of kiting and socialising.

With a 'wild, wild west' theme for 2012, we hope to see cowboys and cowgirls all weekend. Fantastic prizes will once again be available for the best dressed cowboy or cowgirl!

For the first time, this year Kitestock is a four day event and ticket prices are $250 per head, with children under 12 $150.

The 2012 ticket price includes 9 meals (beach side and evening meals at the Priory - including an Australia Day BBQ dinner); a sensational Kitestock t-shirt; soft drinks at the beach; buses for two downwinders and all the good stuff that makes Kitestock the biggest kite event in Australia.

Go to www.kitestock.com for more information about the event and to register for Kitestock 2012.

$250 PER HEAD
You guys have gotta be joking right.

4 Days, 9 Meals, free drinks, free 'T's, free buses, free beach shuttle, free demo's, free rescue services, free event entry, free gifts and loads of prizes + all the entertainment and extras that IS Kitestock.
You'd have to be one seriously dedicated cheapskate to even dream of complaining about that.

(Please dont start. Too much work by too many good volunteers to have to listen to the nay sayers and their grizzles)

Crew

Planning for Kitestock 2012 is tracking well. Discussions with local kiters & Dongara/Port Denison community all confirm that the wind is on & won't be going away any time soon - there won't be any time for SUP this year

This year we have tweaked the event calendar somewhat, with the ever popular Epic Downwinder (known as "the Big Cowboy" for 2012) taking place on Thursday 26th, and the "Little Cowboy" downwinder (new for 2012) from South Beach, heading north, taking place on Saturday 28th January.

With course racing, freestyle, and wave comps, there will be something for everyone at KS 2012. Platinum sponsor Ben Wilson Surf will be on the lookout for the best grom of the event, with a HUGE prize being offered for the best grom.

With a wild west theme in 2012, we want all kiters to bring their best cowboy & cowgirl costumes for the annual Kitestock party & celebration on Saturday night.

Registrations close on January 12th 2012 - get in now to make sure you don't miss out on Australia's biggest kite surfing event.

Go to www.kitestock.com for more information and to register for the event.

hbbear the best way to get to dongara,is in a ferrari with a sizzling hot chick that stops every half an hour to crack you a coldy (just my personal preference)

i like the idea, but a Ferrari & beach sand isn't going to work, is it???

Is the inland highway more scenic than the coast road? Which is the best drive up?

hb bear the new coast road is heaps better than the highway approx 20mins shorter as well, loads of spots to call in on the way up,you can jump the coach for 50bucks from east perth if you havnt got transport,( i still reckon the hot chick and ferrari options best)

Apologies to all for the registration issues, we have fixed the problem and registrations are good to go.

Two downwinders; Ben Wilson Surf grom search; demo gear; good food, one or two drinks amongst old & new friends...it's looking good for KS 2012...

Just had a conversation with Dongara Sea Rescue Group about the two downwinders planned for KS 2012 (they provide marshalling/support boats as part of the safety planning we put into KS) - it's currently blowing 25knots plus up in Dongara & it's been that way for weeks apparently.

No need for SUP's this year based on that advice....

Two DW's this year - "The Big Cowboy" (also known as the Epic DW) on Thursday 26th Jan (Australia Day)...30km or there abouts, and the "Little Cowboy" on Friday 27th January, a shorter distance, of about 15kms, heading north from Dongara up the coast a bit.....

With 25knot winds, it's looking pretty damn fine for KS 2012.....
