Many thanks to Darren, Drew, Lee, and all the WAKSA committee members, the volunteers, including Vicki & especially Ruby for making KS 2014 a great weekend.
Personal experience tells me it always helps running a kiting event when you have wind, & this year the was good wind across all three days. The Epic Downwinder was once again, EPIC & a personal highlight.
Many thanks to all the sponsors & supporters, including local kiteshops, and big thumbs up for everyone who made it up to Dongara this year. Will post pics later when I've emptied the car of South Beach sand.....
Juddy
I have to second that Juddy, a great weekend, fantastic atmosphere, thanks again WAKSA, you do W.A proud with this event.
Yeah nicely run event, well done to Darren and WAKSA,
looking forward to the WA state freestyle championships
Well done also the WAKSA team behind the scenes, committee members Murray, Steven and Gareth.
Also a special mention to Candice and Fran who helped as volunteers and everyone who volunteered along the way.
Finally a big thanks to Drew, Leigh, Jaselyn and Murray who were at the event.
Thanks to you for making Kitestock, well Kitestock
Regards,
Darren Ellis
This should have been in the WA section.
Kitestock is billed as an international event.
Maybe you should just be in the newbie section
baha, I kite with people from South Africa, New Zealand, EU weekly - I guess our local sessions are international!
Many thanks to the Kitestock crew again for putting on a great event. These are just a selection of a few hundred shots taken over the weekend.
hi kitepower steve - great photos!
a couple of questions if yourself or anyone out there can help:
curious what board the guy strapless punting in photo 8 is on?
what kind of knee brace is that in photo 13, and what structural deficiency is it helping? acl?
bit of a long shot, but thanks for any replies...
shame there wasn't a bit more swell up there for the crew.
cheers
Thanks. Sorry no idea what that board is. The knee brace is a custom CTi, I think it is to help with an ACL injury stabilisation. The guy wearing it is Olly Brunton a kiwi and Ozone/Axis team rider I was travelling with.
Nice pics Steve Kitepower Also big thanks to Kitestock crew great event , it was nice to have wind every day and used all my kites 6-8-10 Reo's and 17m Zepha and hope to get there next year
