City Beach works in a NE, need to take care around other water users, otherwise head down to Sawtell.

I just had a few weeks in Coffs. Kited at park beach a few times. The locals all tend to kite on the southern side of the island but i went on the northern side (far better waves and wind direction for a surfboard) Then i ventured down to sawtell. This place is definitely the go. Or right at the southern end of gallows beach.. awesome spot to kite and surf.

Just south of Woollgoolga holds some nice options, either NE or SE. No swimmers, tourists or whatever. Easy to find. BTW, Jack Thompson has a house nearby, if that assists....
