Hey all,

I know it was in the news section but thought I'd post it for the lurkers like me who don't read the news.

New movie project looks pretty awesome & wants funding from kick starter.

With people like Aaron Hadlow, Kevin Langeree and Robby Naish & heaps of other top class riders this looks like a great project. Just wish there were a few more women in it (equal opportunity and all that )

What do you guys & gals think? I like it & will throw it some dollars, maybe get a hoody.

(edit: can't embed video so go to kickstarter for a good look) www.kickstarter.com/projects/1110436454/chapter-one-the-biggest-kiteboard-movie-in-history

Same could be said of your last video on the skim - we all enjoy different aspects of the sport.

And what aspect would Naish be excelling at exactly?... Don't get me wrong Naish was/is an amazing windsurfer, but has no place staring in the worlds "biggest kite movie in history". But I imagine they are just going to create some boring part about how pioneering he was etc... they should really get Lou on the project, he actually was a pioneer and he would actually be entertaining to watch/ listen to .

p.s. I don't ride skim-boards.

Wake skate, skim, surfboard or windsurfer....

Agree with some of your points but there is no denying he has some talent.

Point is different skills appeal to different people. Wake style/flicky tricks don't do it for me.

Not saying he's not great and doesn't deserve respect, but ultimately I don't think he really belongs in a movie like this. As I said before I could think of a host of pioneers that were actually pioneering back then and would be interesting to hear from.

Seems like a pretty good crew to me... Robby Naish is just down as a legend... The others are all champs.

I honestly don't know how anyone can disrespect Robbie Naish's prowess as a waterman. You may not like the guy, but his skill on the water is undeniable.

I don't think you've understood me. I think he's one of the worlds greatest windsurfers, I watched all his vids growing up as a kid and have the ultimate respect for him because of that, but the truth is he's not a great kiter... Go make a Windsurfing vid about him but don't waste our time and money putting him to shame in a kite vid. It's like making a BMX video about Tony Hawk.

so looking at the first link apparently we need 65000 pounds to make it happen....

I hope this occurs!! Otherwise surely the pro's will invest in it?!?

It'd make a fortune at the box office!!
