Take your kites. Plenty open beach On the ocean side to kite anywhere. Just needs some east in it. Dangers are mainly sharks and rough seas, there's nobody to rescue you if your alone. If your experienced enough to kite by yourself in the surf it's all good. When I went I kited in front of my camp. Waddy point good in a northerly Which should be starting by then. Plenty of big biteys up there. Average wind speeds

There's more than just the eastern surf beach to kite, though if it's a SE that's your only real option, unless you're happy to head south to Inskip, or near Kingfisher Resort on the inside at low tide. In a N, the banks near Waddy as mentioned can be good, though if you don't mind the drive you can head across to Wathumba Creek on the western beach, or right to the top end and kite the shallow spits near low. Also, if N is really hitting, a long trip down to DI could be on.

Sharks ba...I use to swim /surf there for years ,safe as houses..... you got more chance of being attacked by a dingo.way more dingo attacks up there than shark attacks in the whole of Queensland.

If you do go out let me know and when you feel that extreme pain can you do me I favour before you go to the unknowing, hit ya quick release . I need a new kite and I don't want blood on it or undo the release while half of ya body is still on it . I got this thing with seeing someone's insides on the outside , thanks
