Just wondering if anyone has conquered Lake Bandee in Kellerberrin West Oz?

Reason why I ask is DUSTA just rang me as he drove past it and mentioned it was full of water and windy!

I know the Lake is only full sometimes and is used for skiing!!

Turn left of great eastern highway onto Rd marked Ski lake Road for about 1.5 km, turn left on good track down to club house, Water is as said like glass. Any wind direction there is glass and off shore and usually good depth of water.
Take lots of water to wash of salt and were sun glasses.
Best place to launch at boat ramp as you will not get mud all over your gear.
Have some one to land you as it is a bit rough around the edges.

Been water in it for the last 6 months.
Photos next time Juddy

guy rocked up with his ski boat and had a chat to him and he said it was around 2m for most of the lake at the moment . Definately going to take my gear next trip to merredin .

forgot to mention that there are showers there and a clubhouse which is just a concrete shed open to the elements but still has plenty of cover . Camping is allowed

i did a rece a couple of years back on a lake thats 12000 hectares, strong easterly and butter flat, it needs good rain in a certain area hundreds of klms from the spot to fill the lake, the are plenty of inland lakes youve just gotta put in the klms

One of the best I have ever seen is a few years ago when there was a proper flood at Lake Grace.
The road to Esperance has a causeway there about 2m above lake level, and is straight for about 30km.
The normally dry lake had water lapping at the edge of the bitumen so any wind would have made the greatest speed run. Only happens every 10yrs or so......

But nup, no wind.
Next time maybe......
30km speed run

Closer ot home for most than Keller is the lakes the Beverley waterski club is on... umm Yenyenning Lake, north side

the is a decent lake near three springs approx 2klms x 1.5 split by a road , easily boostable with a good wind, approx 1.8mtrs deep at its deepest, know of another 119klms sq 25klms long and 9klms wide ive checked it out its a frigging inland ocean, on the hitlist this winter weather dependent,
