Im over here in Auckland to photograph two Rugby Union games this weekend & was lucky enough to be able to see Marc Jacobs out on one of the Northern beaches of Auckland. Brilliant to watch his skills & so glad I took a camera out for a day trip. Cheers, Gordon.
I was kiting there today as well and saw you on the beach with a camera - blue t shirt? Did you manage to get some pics of his dog Ace as well? A real character who chases Marc up and down the beach until he gets a ride. I've kited with Marc a lot in Auckland (Orewa and Shoal Bay) and Tauranga. Nice guy who is always willing to launch and land you when you need it. He is just as good at wake boarding.
Hi kapac. I grabbed one or two of him with his dog. What a great freindship between the two. Marc was brilliant to photograph & did not seem bothered at all by me being there. One very talented guy.
Great pic! Ace adopted Marc apparently and is well known amongst the kiting fraternity here. Where Marc goes, Ace goes.....
I've always liked watching Marc Jacobs because he's one of the few top level riders that isn't a 40kg Spanish midget.
Don't know how many of you have seen that Switch board up-close and personal but it is a heavy pig of a thing. Good for learners. Just goes to show how good a rider he is pulling off big moves and air on it. Unless Switch have a custom-carbon jobby for him that is just painted up to look like their board??

Have seen one up close and its thick. Not as thick as a tona, but guys shred on those too.

That is so awesome.

I have a tona, it's sooo heavy, if I rode it without boots i'd be scared it would kill me coming off during a backroll.
If you ran over a boogeyboarder you wouldn't even feel it.
This video never gets old, especially the penguin walk @46seconds. Sick;
I was hoping he would go and win KOA on a switch kite - put rocket up the big companies:)
they'll snap him up before that happens
