La Franqui gets really windy ... it's most of the time the offshore tramontana wind that blows across this 13km hard sand beach. Perfect place for mountainboard, buggy and kite but its pretty common that the wind reach 50+knots so instead of getting sand blasted or staying home it's either going windsurfing on a 3m sail or mattress boarding ...
