in yesterdays wind!!??

flog-in-hell mateys... 50 plus knots... riding beside a busy road with powerlines and houses....

Define madness for me again.

in a true westerly best spot is Berubi Beach anyhow....

Not even the mad float man would go out to squids in yesterdays wind...

yep. 5 girls on the water including a Norwegian snow-kiter who has only just discovered that you can also kite on water! dare I say..... teaspoon of cement?

Boosts were huuuuge & a memorable moment was Glenn's quadruple (?) kiteloop.

Fun times & happy birthday Miss Jessie!!!

Yep all had fun
No one ended up on the hwy
No one ended up in the power wires
Most a bit sore from a long day
Only one very experiance person ended up needing Xray to rib area but due to bad landing after trying one to many kiteloops, not the conditions or the location
We were only talking about it the other day how it has been a long time since we have seen a big gust come through and people getting teabaged across the bay out of control, It very rare with a modern kite these days.
And many of these guys and gals have only kited for 1 or 2 yrs and handled themselves better than some experianced kiters we have seen over the years who end up in the power wires or on the hwy or had there kite drapped over the front of someones house while blacking out the street.

Even had a WA Newy girl bring us Home made hamburger for lunch, thanks to birthday girl jess

And didnt part of "the walk of shame" involve the kite getting real close to the Hwy

HaHa
Yes it did get close the the hwy but that was as I was running back to untangle my lines after I free fell from a rather large height without the kite bar in my hands
My ribs are a bit tender but still got out yesterday morning again
But it wasn't me requiring Xray

Hey Stabber, if highways and powerlines scare you, dont ever come to Stocko, toooo many sharks!
Especially witht he amount of time ur kite spends in the water, u would be a giant lure!
