Hi guys
I currently fly EVOs and NEOs, and have flown Rally, Bandit, Obsession.
I tried the Rebel of a friend and was amazed by the hangtime and solidity in the gusts
I am thinking of buying one, but I'm a bit skeptical about the 5th line
Does it create any problem, like wrapping around the kite, or it happens only once in a lifetime, and the rest is only added security?
thanks a lot!

I use rebels and it's happened about 2 or 3 times. But i'm not very experienced and I crash a lot. It only seems to happen when I lose tension on the lines and it falls out of the sky.
Buy a fuse, imo a 4 line rebel with more balls, you'll get some great deals on them as north have replaced it with the dyno

I know, but Fuse will be super hard to re-sell. I can buy a "almost new" Rebel 10 2013 at 900eur and resell it next year very quickly at 800???. Fuse has really no market in Italy, and I never seen one flying or in stock in a shop.
The new EVO looks very promising, but will wait next year to buy it used :-)
Who buys a kite based on re-sell? Buy it on performance based on what you are after. Kites are worth crap after one season, look at the buy and sell market here, bargains everywhere, saturated market.
I used rebels from 2008 and 5th line was and issue re lines being twisted but on 2013 model yes lines still get twisted but due the kite being more stable i just re lunched and kite back to beach and un tangle them But if possible try to get 2014 bar

LOL at hangtime!
The 5th line bow tie will happen as often as you would roll a four line kite. The only difference being you can relaunch a four line kite with the lines crossed. With the five line you are swimming it in. If you drop kites a lot go for the four line.

Sorry the 2013 model have relaunched every time 20++ times with lines crossed One time in waves the kite crossed lines and then went into death loops it hit the water again, i un twisted about 15 times in the water and relaunched still crossed and still 20+twists Note the previous kites yes i could not re launch That could be due to my experience but i am positive it is 2013 model

I think if you tried to relaunch your kite with the 5th line wrapped around the middle it would cut it in half yeah?

Beppe Have demo of a Dise with 4 lines
had one. dropped it in big surf. 5th line tuned my 12m into two 6m real quick. Moto Levi did an amazing job to have it back together.
5 lines are a PITA if you roll them - slingshot came up with what they called the wave grenade which was a release for the fifth line when it all went pear shaped - Ive never flown a North - don't they have a quick release on the 5th line?????? poor show!!
I demo'd a 2013 neo on four lines on 2013 bar and lines. Kite i bought had the 5th line already attached. Can anyone indicate if its just a matter of removing the 5th line and hey presto you've got the 4 line set up again?
You guys really made me scary of the 5th!
I think I will go for a used Bandit 6 10mt, as I just sold my Neo, and use it with my North Quad bar (I hate FOne bar).
Before buying the Dice, I want to wait for some test of the new Evo. The shape looks very promising for good hangtime
