Hi Guys,
Anyone used the Ozone Reo kites with a non-Ozone bar.
I am planning to use with my Cabrinha bars (which I like 'cause of the spring thing and the pull-pull depower) with an 8m and 10m, 2012 Reo.
Hooked in wave riding is what I like to do. Hooked in lawn mowing, a few tricks and boosts is what I normally get to do in the metro area.
I was really wondering what the distance between lines across the bar and the length of the Ozone throw are - to compare with my Cabrinha bar - does anyone out there know?
Interested in any advice or views as well.
Thanks.
should work. I use 2 different brands with huge depower on my reo and they work. cabrinha dont have much depower so should be fairly safe. Just test tune kite in moderate winds a few times.
Will work just need to check safety Reo flag to one line. Used a north bar 4 line fine but never used the safety as I did not know whot would happen flaging to 2 front lines.
I'd advise against using any 2 front line flagging bar on a kite that is not designed for that system. In an emergency, and even to self land, the safety system will not work properly.
Get a bar that has a single front line flagging system, NONE of the Cabrinha bars from 2006 -2013 have a single front line flag out system.
@Dark side, best to get a single front line flagging bar. I've probably got something around here....
hi jacking this tread sorry general dude . What about they other way I got cabs which flag to both can they flag to one line has any one done it .
thanks

Can death loop, if you flag them to one line. Often it will work, but due to the longish front bridles, they can spin, once they have a few spins they just keep going until you are forced to eject (if you can!!!)
I also have an 8m Reo and using an Cabrinha 2013 bar (for my other kites) - seemed to work ok. The 8m Reo seemed super responsive, perhaps a bit too responsive.... but the main issue was that I had to switch the kite connector knots (from line to kite) around as the inside lines / outside linese were opposite on the Reo. Anyone else notice this?
