Some of you might be disappointed that the video I am posting is not of yet another self launch Rockstar "comedy" of errors.
Those videos are funny as hell to watch, (as long as nobody gets hurt.) Sorry if you were expecting one of that genre.
Nope, this one is of another kind of "Rockstar".
I call him Captain D**khead.
Seems appropriate.
I'm sure you've all encountered a version of him.
The video, I think, is pretty self explanatory. After hurling abuse at him in the surf, I confronted him on the beach later.
I told him I had captured the whole thing on video. His response... his REPEATED response :
"I don't give a f**k maaaaate." To which I replied. "Yeah, that's my point, d**khead".
His other response : "I was on a wave maaate".
Well, let's let the video answer that one, shall we Captain D**Khead?
Wow
Why didn't you just punch him instead of threatening on the Internet to do it next time.
Even if he clocked you back and you came out worse for it, the video would have been awesome

True. It would have made for some brilliant video.
But dealing with d**kheads just bores me. This message included :-)
Ok. That video shows nothing at all .but thanks for sharing...I guess
You're welcome! ;-)
Nah, that was messed up purely for the retardedness of his attempted kite flying behind and upwind of you... how did he manage to hit the only thing within cooee?! Clown
now please post rockstar vid part 3... the beach chat
I would've shat my pants seeing his kite just appear by my lines. Good reaction from you steering away there! When I see helmet people I am staying far away/turning away early. Might have to add cabrinha to the list of dangers!
Now that looks like a fun time. It's good to get amongst the kitesurfers while kiteboarding (live action) From the vid I would of thought normal rules apply kiter leaving beach has right of way ? It looks as though the cab riders just left beach does it ? Or are they coming out from the shallows ? **** all that space and seeing someone on a wave or heading out I would of turned round or had a bit of decency or a nice little down loop especially if on a twin tip unless heading in for some show boating near the sore. Sometimes I roar I hafffffff vright af vay in my best euro tounge while laughing.
Is that Trigg the wave surfy spot up in perth ?
Rename that vid brokeback mountain, or bohemian rhapsody , 2 of the gayest things ive seen and not watched to the end
WOW that was kooky but i enjoyed the music the second time i watched it with the sound on just to make sure i hadn't missed anything in the audio that would possibly clarify why you even posted that vid????
I would've avoided the kiter heading out and the potential kitemare.
I bet he is one of the twats on this thread telling how you shoulda done this or that.
Forget the right of way issue, the kite on top of you was seriously bad form
Let this be a lesson in situational awareness for you.. People make mistakes.
Also why are you kiting so close to 20 kids playing in the water?

Yeah. Hahaha. Part of the reason I posted it was to get a rise out of the twats. It's highly amusing.
Especially the homophobic guy from Geraldton who posts endless wind graphs. Yawn.
Poor guy. He lives in one of the biggest s**tholes in Australia, so I guess he has nothing else to do but kite, post graphs and comments, and gaze longingly at the sheep. ;-)

Yessir. Thanks for the lesson sir. Much obliged sir. You got any other nuggets of wisdom for all of us?
Perhaps tips on how to cook a good omelete? Now THAT would be useful.
(The kids were easily 100m away until Captain D**khead smashed me way off course. But thanks for the probing question ;-)
Now, about that omelete.

Yeah. Shoulda recorded the beach "conversation". Most of it would have been bleeped out. Would have been amusing.

I'd say he's a bit of a Rolf Harris , could be wrong
Bit early in the morning to be drinking isn't it beebee...?
C'mon mate. Surely you can do better than that.
Disappointed.
Surely the guy riding a TT in waves is a fault.
Just saying
Yeah. Check out those massive waves in the video.
Hahahaha.
The only kiters who think there's "wave riding" or "waves" in Perth are the Rockstars pulling "radical moves" in 3 foot shore slop.
Their attitude is freakin' hilarious. A few of them on here it seems. Brilliant entertainment.
3 foot shore slop is rather good for kickers on a TT though.
From what I can see, is the guy on the Port tack has seen a wave come in and decided to turn into it and has collected Beebee in the process. IMO the guy on the Port Tack is at fault here. If it is not safe to turn in front of another kiter, don't turn (regardless of a wave coming through). It actually looked like they were making a clean pass, one kite low and the guy on the port tack higher.

That is exactly what has happened here and it is something I see happening a lot along that stretch of beach. It sometimes seems like people are just so mad keen they can't let even the smallest lump go and instead they will whip their kite around and proceed down wind no matter how close they are to a collision.
This incident and many others could easily be avoided by just giving each other a bit of space. It's a congested and confused stretch of beach with people going every which way.
I urge Perth kiters, please- give each other a bit more room.
Relax a little, throw in a couple tacks if you're in a congested group.
It's not a sprint and it's not going to ruin your day if you have to change course to avoid taking someone out.
More room please people- relax!!
It looks like they are forecasting for that thin crispy Canadian style bacon. Whilst that type of bacon is good it lacks substance when compared to our thick rashers.
I consider this style of bacon more of a condiment than an actual food

everyone on that stretch thinks they are Kelly Slater lol (me included sometimes). A lot of crew doing downwinders just cutting through everyone's tacks. I am not saying that downwiders are not OK, I do them as well sometimes. However... Kelly Slater guys need to show some courtesy to others that are actually kiting the area (and for the majority they do).
Unfortunately, if one does it the rest retaliate, then it's out of control. I guess the takeout here is, if one guy does this to you, don't start doing it as well. It needs to be discussed on the beach, if you see your mate doing it, pull him up afterwards.
MY TWO CENTS WORTH... shakka
