CORE ONLINE MAGAZINE Slider and Kicker Jam 2008.
Just to let everyone know that we have been given the go ahead from the DPI and city of cockburn to hold the jam, with our sliders and kickers in the water for:
January 28th, Monday of australia day weekend, so be sure to come down for the days events and spread the word.
An area big enough will be closed from all other water users just on the upwind section of the flat side from about 12-8pm.
For the riders using the obstacles there are terms and conditions to the permit we got but all this will be gone over with the riders who are using the obstacles.
As before, no entry and no prize this is a jam and should be a great day to check out the Pro riders on many of their last few days in Perth.
See you there!

congrats, was a bit sad to think such a great event was not going ahead...
good luck and good wind to all the riders and organizers.
Sweeeet get excited people, perfect opportunity to try some obstacles out or just come watch some nice riding. Going to be epic!!!
Just got the map with the area for our section for slider jam.
An advert is out today in the West Australian also with the same info.
Working on the final touches to the obstacles, i'll upload some more shots soon.
Nice work Toby, I know how hard it is to get that piece of paper...
Should be an awesome day, see ya's there!
Just back from the beach ; although the date is clear in this thread, the Kitesurfing Event page lists it on 27th same as Big Air, some people confused.
can u change the dates on the EVENTS page
yeah it is on the 28th not the 27th,
no entry fee or spectator fee, no prizes or prize money, just spread the word and enjoy the show and invite your friends if they'd be interested.
Lots of videographers and photographers, chance of a PA with music and Red Bull being in attendance too.
I've been handing out flyers here and there to spread the word. Mosty to hot bikini clad girls, so should be a good day!
bring lots of suncream or shade.
i'll change the date on the events.
Heres some shots of the C rail and Kicker, C rail has another pipe the same size running along side it and both will be covered with ply on the sides when they are out tomorrow! Just off to bunnings to buy some more screws!
Toby you Legend!
Thats some awesome effort (and some big expense) to you guys.
That kicker looks amazing!! and a good angle, not too steep...
Should be a ball tomorrow, can't wait to wrap myself around some obstacles,
cheers
Hey guys,
So plan is to head down to woodies early with the gear to set it all up, we need all the riders who intent to use it to help us out, so if you could get down at 10.30 am that would be sweet.
Looks like the wind will be in early so we want it all up by 11am.
All riders will need to help in the build / carry of the obstacles, we will have a briefing when the wind comes in with all the info for the day and actions plans etc.
Riding is at your own risk and you need to be part of the build before you are able to ride any of it or in marked off zone.
Also check out my new spolier should give the extra downforce i need!
See you there tomorrow, looks like a full day of wind!
