I've come back from a week and a half road trip to find that the best topic thread ever has returned.

Bless you Seabreeze, bless you!

What an awful sexist post. So so wrong. It's no surprise why there aren't more active girls on this forum or kiting in general, with this repulsive attitude amongst you all. I wish I saw more fellow female kiters out there, but I'm completely understanding why newbies might shy away with this unwelcoming parade of sexism.

Not sure what is sexist about admiring the female form?
Or does sexist now mean, in the narcissistic face book world, whatever you consider it to mean?
The dictionary reckons that Sexism means discrimination against people because of gender

The thread definitely discriminates but I can't find any ugly chick kite surfers to even it up -

Maybe you should take your misguided moral outrage to the windsurfers forum??

It doesn't look like these girls mind having their photo taken and posted on a forum for all to admire. I'm sure they are flattered rather than insulted.

Takes some kahunas posting this on a predominately male forum. Don't like your chances but kudos anyway.

Not really, but I'm not offended and simply won't look at the picture. Pretty easy.

Thanks VB man :P Unfortunately it's just not the same, as no one wants to see red crotched budgie smuggler man with his schnitzel projecting out. I appreciate your support though, but until you've had the experience of being the only girl on the beach in a male dominated sport, I can imagine it wouldn't seem like a big deal. Or not being able to buy a girls wetsuit with shorts that are longer than hot pants, because they simply don't seem to make them. Yes, this site is male dominated, and yes the sport is male dominated, but should that be the case? I just don't think that seabreeze should allow it, and that all the 'admiration of the female form' could take place somewhere more appropriate. As always- "Not in my backyard, mate".

I agree with giraffegirl. This thread is inappropriate.

I really like looking at the female form, so I personally am not offended, but I don't consider it appropriate as a thread in a sport where we want to encourage new entrants, where we want both male and female, young and old. As per the forum rules (like them or not it's a condition) it would be very unlikely this thread could be presented to 8 year olds. Or that this is fun for the whole family.

I've wondered on this thread for a while, as its prickled my "I'm not sure this is ok" sense. If just one female speaks up, then there are many, many more who have not commented and simply turned away from this thread, this forum, and maybe even this sport.

Respect to giraffegirl for having the courage to speak up.

Flame away if you wish. But I'm for encouraging all people into the sport.

Thank you JimJones for speaking up. You're absolutely correct- there are teenagers who are learning to kite, both male and female who browse these forums. I'm sure the staff at seabreeze, and the people who've posted explicit photos wouldn't appreciate their son or daughter being exposed to this on a sports forum. Thanks again for your support.

I cannot think of a single sport that does not have pictures of pretty girls associated with that sport. If you want this thread banned, you better ban any advert for any sport ever played.

Maybe more girls will take up kiting because they see pictures of other girls having so much fun with a kite!

As per previous post the sexy part is the only part that is discriminatory and potentially not family friendly
still, back to the topic of the thread
