Here is a pic of how to make your own UV proof kiting sunnys for under $10 bucks that dont come off.
I assembled these 3.5 yrs ago after losing my first and last set of eyewear.
$2 UV proof PRO eyewear
are intended to provide adequate protection against sunglare and ultraviolet radiation from the sun.
Aka trady glasses.
$10 heavy pull slingshot
Long life hollow rubber tube.
Remember your only gonna need 1 rubber so maybe you can go halves with a mate to cut costs... ( tightass )
So for $7 you can get it sorted
Depending on how much markup they have on gear in your area. This is what i paid with trade discount. Prices are going to vary but they are cheap.
Its dead simple just slide the rubber on to length so there is a small gap between the top of your neck / lower back of the skull area and dont make it so its under tension....its too uncomfortable.
Trial fit and re adjust to suit .....
Ive gotten 3.5 yrs out of these and just after the third summer the rubber is starting to get sticky...kiting all yr round.
No wind today here so im making myself another set .
I hope i get the same time or longer from these too .
They float a little as the tube is hollow and rubber but depending on what you buy they may not.
They simply don't come off unless you take them off.
I would like to see the video of whoever loses a pair of these in a crash 
If you're trying this at home kids, and knocking off safety glasses from work- make sure they are UV rated and aren't just the smoked safety glasses!
No Uv protection - smoke or dark glasses are bad for both adults and kids..
The eyes react by dilating or widening the pupils, letting even more harmful rays in...
Expensive doesnt always mean better either..
