In my rush to get a session in between driving kids to parties I ripped my wetsuit. Anyone have experience fixing a rip like this or a recommendation of a good glue/cement for this and where to get in Aus.
newbies section, topic bottom of wettie filling with water, you've the answer
yeh but the wetty I used a soldering iron on is still going strong. This was my ion strike which is kite specific and had the holes already in it...so no need to attack with a hot poker. But hey there's an idea maybe I should just solder it back together.
Use Dental floss and a needle, easy and strong repair!
I'll give that ago. My dentist keeps telling me to use dental floss....I can now tell him I have.
Dental floss isn't UV stable. You're better off going to Spotlight and buying some thick thread used for sewing jeans.
And rubber glue (as in used to fix tyre tubes) works well. Can buy from Bunnings. Glue and then sew.

Sweet I'll give that a go then.....not sure what I'll do with the dental floss now.
Go to a dive shop and buy some "Seal Cement".
It's the proper glue for the job.
With a tear that big it is also worth stitching
