Yep, indeed--just keep in mind it breaks about 1km+ out from the Point and in the prevailing wind (SSW) it's cross-off with your downwind destination smack into the Geraldton Port Shipping Channel. They call it "Hells" because that's where you'll end up if things go pear-shaped out there!

Hells inside section on a small day:

^^^

And if it all goes to turkey you can tie your gear to a cray pot/channel marker or head off downwind to sunsets
try it on a 3m swell and 16 second period, should be renamed the 'deaths door' !

I've had Newport Reef in Sydney norther Beaches on a solid 20 to 25 knts SE cross on with a 4 to 5 ft swell. That place is awesome not to mention cross wave out there as well with the barrels.

Thought I'd resurrect this thread on kiting right-handers.

Has anyone tried kiting Jbay and any of the rights in the area?

Easy,If you got time , jump in a car in Sydney head north , chill/wait for the swell and wind, kite, surf, drink coopers ale, sleep, continue for a couple of seasons heading north, then pull up in Somewhere between Rocky and 1770 and imo you've should have seen and had the best of the east coast. so many right hand breaks, anyone care to count ?
