Not a bad little blow today :-) We had a crack on the Gippsland lakes at Loch Sport - is was westerly typically at 30 to 40 knots with significantly stronger gusts under the fronts coming through (max I recorded with my kestrel wind meter was 52.5 KNOTS !!) I waited until it all settled down a bit but after an hour or so came in as it started blowing water off water - again (ie 40+ knots) and sphincter twitching stuff LOL
Where did you get out today - and what was it like????

Yes there were some pretty wild gusts in port phillip bay too. There were quite a few Kiters out at Brighton earlier on while I was having a coffee nearby with friends. Even Brighton bath swimming pool had bay slop/surf. By the time I came out hoping to Kite the Kiters were all gone after 1 or 2 of the big gusts came through. If you believe the charts there was a good 15-20 knot difference between the peak of the gust and the low points. I gave it a miss leaving it for the Warriors amongst you. it settled down later and I had an awesome time at st Kilda on a 7m and I enjoy quite a bit of ballast . There was someone significantly lighter than me holding down an 11m. That was either insane fun or just insane but he seemed to manage it fine.

We got out in Tambo Bay (Metung) mid day yesterday, was awesome but definitely packed up before the mid 40s came through. Today was more of the same without the nasties..
Looks like Wednesday will be on again is there any spots up there which are flat water in westerly?
