The chart is looking pretty solid for Sunday - that's one big pressure system. All the wind in Australia this weekend is affected by it - sorry WA guys. All depends on how the system moves though. All it has to do is drop just enough for those isobars to hug the coastline. If it sits up a bit we'll be screwed like last weekend.

SW/S winds increasing to 20/25 knots well offshore south of Cape Moreton in the evening. Seas to 1.5 metres offshore. A 2 metre southerly swell.
Monday: S/SW winds 15/20 knots, easing to 10/15 knots in the afternoon. Seas to 1.8 metres offshore, abating to 1.3 metres. S/SE swell building to 3 metres. Isolated showers developing.
Tuesday: SW/SE winds 10/15 knots.
At least we might get a few waves out of it.

Just had a surf in Coolum with Echostorm - hope you have a thick steamer though, that wind is damn cold - funny though, we did discuss a night kite tonight but the thought of putting my wet steamer on at midnight doesn't excite me...
