Wednesday: S/SE winds 15/20 knots, increasing to 20/25 knots during the morning. Seas 1.7 metres, rising to 2.2 metres during the morning. Lighter SW/S winds close inshore early. Isolated showers.
Thursday: SE/E winds 25/30 knots, shifting E/NE at 30/40 knots late evening.
wOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOt
Also getting ENE groundswell which is not generated by the predicted wind so we should also get a good surf in early from Thursday to Saturday.
it's a big, crappy front coming through. it will be bucketing rain and the wind will not come unless it's between squalls. don't get too excited just yet gents.
I think Wednesday will be fine until about 2/3pm when the predicted afternoon shower will come through... *fingers crossed*
Thursday just looks like a mess.... That prediction along with the " Showers increasing to rain, heavier at night"... yuck...
It's a shame I can kite both days until about 2pm if its cranking!
Good tide from 9am too!
What's the issue with the rain???
it doesn't stop you from kiting?
are you scared to get wet?
Must be missing something
Looks like westerlies for Friday and Saturday so we should get a good surf in on Friday and Saturday.
Fri: Strong E groundswell around 4-6 feet. Chance for a rapid increase in local swell from developing low.
Sat: Fading E swell around 3-4 foot. Possible SE swell top-up from a surface low, but dependent on position and strength of low. Generally southerly winds.
I absolutely enjoyed working for eleven hours straight today, all the while looking outside at the 18-30 knots blowing perfectly all afternoon. it was sensational
Did you guys get at kite in on Saturday. Was thinking of coming up there today, is it likely the NE will be strong enough?
