I have recently fallen in love with tropical Queensland. Having read that Yorkey's Knob just outside Cairns is one of Australias best kitesurfing beaches I was wondering if anyone can advise on the best time of the year. We were thinking of going in June (when it gets so bloody cold in NSW) but I wanna make sure there'll be wind.

Thanks heaps for any help!

Perfect time to go. Most years Cairns has the most consistent wind in the country around June, July, August.

I understand your love affair completely by the way!

Thanks guys. That's exactly what I needed to hear. I spent an afternoon in Port Douglas and could easily make it a week
