young fella turning eleven. guess he weights around 40kg.
pretty skinny, but tall. What size kite and dimensions of board do you think? I have an old jaime pro he can use, or i can make a ply board to get him started. 6m bow kite? 7? too big? Oh i guess prevailing winds 10 - 20 knots, mainly 15- 18 ish. I was thinking a second hand switchblade with ids (been out of the game for a while)
thanks

I learnt when i was 10 and about 40kg.
Kite would be a 6m all-round kite.
For board, go something around 115-130cm x 36-38cm.

Jaime's are really good to learn on, the old ones are super smooth in chop so that should be alright.
You need a kite with good depower but also has a bit of grunt.
For a kite i would go for something you could use as well. like a Ozone Enduro/older Catalyst, North Evo/Dice (don't go 2014) or Airush Lithium.
The most important thing would be get a harness that actually fits him! A loose harness sucks when you're small.
