Well finally got some wind after a long boaring winter . yer ha its on its on out and crusen around lets do some jumps yep that was cool lets do that again . going through motions kite going up to 12 edging hard just about too pop or while on the pop motion WHAT THE sand bank (didnt realise tite was going out so fast) bang flying through air with only one foot in board not expericed enough for board off tricks yet reached down to get board back on forgot to fly kite ended bad landed crashed in 1 meter deep water with right foot stuck straight down into the sand . what was a long boaring winter is now become a long summer healing . End result one heel bone in 9 pieces 2 ankel bones broken up to 9 weeks maybe more . So for everyone out there take it easy for a while and enjoy look for sand banks and as the saying goes live today to kite another day .

When i was learning in my first lesson i got launched and put both feet out to stop myself not realising the force would throw me into the sand like a spear. I spent the next 6 months with a screwed ancle and even after 12 months it gives me greif. I now turn myself into superman when heading towards shallow water to avoid any limbs hitting first.
come on down to brighton and will show you how to jump and land in six inches of water //// hahaha.

Thanks for the good , bad support but no one has pm me for some dvds i really am getting board . Anything kite related i will be really happy if someone could get some thing to me even home movies i dont care what . Like i said before willing to pay post both ways and i garantee you will get them back . I will say that the drugs they gave me are gooooooood not that iam a drugy but i can see how they get hooked on this s**t . Too everyone out there have a blast hope i get to see you one day .

Well it has been 8 1/2 weeks still looks like s**t . Has anyone had a brake like this (heel bone smashed ) can tell me how long did it take too walk again and if so how long before you could kite . i am starting too eat the walls iam sooooooooo over it
Get it operated on by a specialist asap !!!
Even if you have to travel to find one it will heal so much faster !they told me without an operation I would not walk properly, now I have pins an titanium strapping holding my shattered heel together, took about a year before I could really smash it around again properly I got the top surgeon at nambour hospital, seriously you should go see him.
Hope you heal quickly, and I have to say the pics are graphic but I think we are all grateful we didn't see a stray aggot make a cameo on that 2nd pic.
I feel your pain. Did the foot/ankle thing years ago, good luck. Currently waiting on shoulder reco now, small white water kayak injury. Always at the start of the season...

Thanks everyone .Blownaway i pm you .I am seeing a specialist on friday . I not sure but would they operate after 8 weeks seems like a long time heeling to brake it and screw it together again for it to heal again .

I feel for you .... I smashed my heal once ....... ( climbed up into a wardrobe to retreive snow gear then jumped down , the front of my foot landed on the carpet my heal landed on the thin raised track that the wardrobe door slides on ) broken in 4 places unfortunately it took a very long time to heal properly ........ I resorted to riding an esky lid for the summer much to my mates amusement.
Mine took about 6 months before I could put my full weight on it.... About 10 before I could ditch the lid and surf.
I spent most of the time walking around on my toes/ ball of that foot and that caused major problems with the calf muscle in that leg.
