Is there such a beast?
I currently have a great light wind combo but the bar pressure is to heavy for my tennis elbows. T3 14m and Glide. Have tried the 1:1 setting, hate it.
I'm loooking for a light wind kite with light bar pressure that can get me going in sub 10 knots, no larger than a 14m.
Any feed back would be appreciated.
if you're prepared to try something different a 15m flysurfer psycho 4 is to go. Bar pressure is adjustable from almost zero to moderate.
try ozone light ive heard the 14 fly,s great i have a rev 15 but find it a bit to big and it slower than my 11 rev when it gets light
Confirm for Ozone Light 14m..
Only 3 struts and no one pump make this year construction very light!
Very good low end and still quite fast for a 14m.
Bye Jankie
Hi HAAK,
The 14m Ozone Light XC gets my vote too. A nice light wind kite that's easy to use and quite peppy for a big kite. Bar pressure is light to moderate (depending on what you're used to).
They also make a nice wave kite!
Good winds,
Most people say the OS kite has the lightest bar pressure they have felt.
I have a an exdemo 14m OS going cheap.
If you're a big bloke and ride fast.
15m Express is a flat arced 3 strut kite. It has dynamic characteristics for a big kite.

Lately some lucky people have been scoring kites at exceptional prices.
Thanks for your replies,
Robbo, I used to fly a flysurfer a few years ago and found we had to much sea weed around here. Nice kites thou.
Capt G and Ray Q, I currently have a rev 13. Even thou I like the bar pressure the bottom end doesn't rate.
Sunami, Jankie and Darren, Yeah I like the feel of my mates 13 OZone edge. How does the bottom end of the Light 14 compare to the 13 edge. I found the Edge 13 wasn't in the same class as the T3 for low end performance.?
Darren,
Has the O Zone Light 14 got a better bottom end than a Airush Flow 14?
Griffin kites have really good low end performance and light bar pressure. Also, they are really well made, come with a 6 month warranty, and they're a fair bit cheaper than most other kites out there. Check em out at www.griffinkiteboarding.com.au
2008 North Rhino, 10m, 75kg, 10kn (stay up wind 10kn and small jumps from 12kn). would guess 12m would be even better and 2009 Rhino.
where is the footage of people actually riding in those conditions?,i can fly my kites around in that kind of wind as well, but actually kiteboarding is another story. The reverse launch is impressive, but again I have seen this done with a few different brands of kite, I think it could be done on most kites with the right technique. I do like the idea of being able to use small kites in marginal conditions, and I am fully supportive of inovation in kite design, but this video fails to get me exited, untill they can show more.
Tried the Airush Vapor II 12m which got going early-ish (around 13 kts) and it had waaayyy light bar pressure (too light for my liking as i am used to C kites). I'd assume the bigger sizes are light-ish too and may be worth checking out.
Nothing beats the Flysurfer Speed2 for lightwind performance.
AND you can water relaunch - even from LE down!
Don't have to believe me - try one for yourself!!!! Always more than happy to let people test fly them.
I didn't see any other kites when I was out yesterday @ Scarbs?
D, why do you prefer the Pulse2 to the Psycho4???? Must say I'm surprised.
