Four days Kiting in WA, four weeks after broken foot.
Thanks to Andrash for the microcurrent therapy advice. It hurt like hell but really helped me heal faster, I would recommend it to anyone.
All the rest of you can HTFU
Cheers

I broke my 2nd and 3rd metatarsal kiteing at the start of the year, yeah 6 weeks is bad, (happened peak kiting season for me) i dont want to recommend anything stupid but after 6 weeks it had healed over for me but the pain from bruising/tissue damage was still there, i guess letting the bone(s) heal completely is the most important thing and if you dont mind the leftover aches blah blah blah kiting could be a go.
Exercise your foot with a small weight frequently without strain (stop when hurts), and it will heal quicker and more complete. On the other hand if you keep straining and re-injuring it, you may end up with a nasty scar tissue, that will be a source of more trouble later. Unfortunately, the pressure from the foot straps will not help, and riding strapless on a surfboard holds some risk of re-injuring it.........but sitting at home on a 18kn sunny afternoon is a risk of a nervous break down......so you can't win.[}:)]
hey jung
i broke one of mine when i was 16, but didn't really let it heal and as a consequense i kept breaking it every 4 weeks untill i had to have surgery on it. now it is mechanically reiforced and couldn't be better. my opinion let it heal properly the first time.
Feeling sorry for you. I broke my fifth metartasal in April this year just two weeks before leaving for Mui Ne. . It took me 5 weeks to recover and even then I did not feel to confident going out for high jumps but anyway you should be able to start cruising around again after 6 weeks.
