i have a airush flow 10m and a vapor 11 12m both are 2008 models
i want to know if it is possible to buy the new 2010 bar and use it on the older kites
any advice would be appreciated

Hi Zork,
The new Smart Bar will work but the problem will be in the safety flagging line. The older kites that fly off the front lines will not flag out when you activate the quick release on the Chicken loop. It also makes them hard to self land.
Some older kites like the Reactor/Lift Pro wont like the sharp angle of the front lines and may make the kite fold up unless you use 5th line.
The new 4-Line Smart Bar must be used with a delta type kite with double pulley bridle to allow the single centre line to pull and flag the kite on two even length front lines.
In short, no, the Smart bar is not compatible on the older kites if you want to fly anything other than suicide setup.
