Thought i would give everyone an update

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Kitesurfing/General/pre-tensioned-slab-board-back-to-whiteboard/

and change the name thank you waveslave

I changed the 1.6 mm cable out for 3.2 witch led to this problem

I solved this problem with a piece of 19mmx25mm Red gum and a 3mm 25x25 angle that i plan to hide later with a tail pad.

The ramp in a bag still has a lot of flex more then my TT but i think it will be just ride-able and i hope coating the boards in epoxy after i have shaped them will stiffen it even more. the mark 2 will be thicker to solve that problem.

I have shaped the edges of the boards to give the ramp in a bag its rocker
this worked vary well

The rocker is can be changed with the center cable because it runs closer to the topside of the board.

The ramp in a bag will be 1525mm 5 foot long, 485mm wide 19"and 5.3kg heavy.
I will attach the nose peace with bolts through the nose plate before tighting the cables and the tail peace will be attached with 2 pins and a nut on the center tightening rod.

This is the shape i have chosen so far I am going with a flat bottom and limited to 2 or 4 fins because of the center cable and the space around the tightening rods.

All suggestions on shaping the ramp in a bag welcome.

None of this makes any sense to me. What are you doing with this contraption?

Is it going to turn into a board?
Is it an adjustable rocker table to make boards?
Is it going to turn into a kicker that you place in the water and do jumps off???

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat the hell is it?

Are the bolts and cables staying when the build is done? or are they just there to hold the shape while you glass.?

yes the bolts are staying and i am only coating the board in epoxy no glass
So from here i will shape the ramp in a bag, pull it apart coat each board in epoxy, mount the tip to the top plate, tighten the cables, mount the tail, fit fins, sand polish, ride, brake it and start again.

if you want more of an understanding of what i am trying to do google Pre-tensioned concret and apply the same principal to a kite board.

have to wear socks like that when wearing work boots all day.

this is common knowledge to the 99% who would of picked waveslave to be a 1%er

as for the project im surprised it is still going. and was hopeing you were going to ditch the steel and al the mesing around that comes with it and just do a tried and tested simple as hell split board. the idea was compact size and weight i believe a simple splitty would of been far easier hour wise aswell, but anyways you build with what you know i guess.

still waiting on someone to bloody attach a foil to an esky lid. THIS is the best option in my opinion. super easy to do allready floats mega strong just tack on some foam pads no customs nonsense when traveling and hell could make one in an hour plus it would be WAAAAAAY cooler then everyone elses stupid foil boards.
