wa kitesurfing holiday

Looking at spending a couple of weeks in wa around december any suggestions for kiteboarding locations and places to stay, that would be good that time of year. Not chasing waves more flat water action.

flat water you could try winderabandi point, might be a bit of a treck but conditions are the best in the state and not crowded either! had a couple of days last season with screaming 30knots and butter smooth water 5meters from camp!

Fine if you have a backup boat (it's 20km downwind before you even have a chance of hitting land) are totally self sufficient,have a good 4x4 and enjoy eating sand breakfast lunch and dinner oh and december is fully booked out with local pisshead fisherman so it's a 1km walk up the beach to get to the bay.
Sandy Bay up in the Cape Range national park is the same set up but shallower and less chance of coming unstuck with the downwind beach being only a km away.
Easy access on a sealed road and campsites either side out of the sand. DEC provide toilets and 2wd access so no probs getting to hospital if you break a rib or something or just to top up supplies from town. No crowds either but you don't want to be sitting at Winderabandi wishing there was someone else to kite with while all the fishermen are out fishing or when the wind comes in throwing the mackerel skeletons out for a bit of shark fishing right where you kite.(not allowed at sandy bay). Lastly sandy bay you can fly in with just your kite gear and clothes (boardies, shirt and hat covers everything) hire a campervan with everything included and be kiting at sandy bay that afternoon.
