Looking at spending a couple of weeks in wa around december any suggestions for kiteboarding locations and places to stay, that would be good that time of year. Not chasing waves more flat water action.
Dude - check out the westoz kiteboarding site - they have a house right across the road from Safety Bay 'pond'
This maybe what your after...
flat water you could try winderabandi point, might be a bit of a treck but conditions are the best in the state and not crowded either! had a couple of days last season with screaming 30knots and butter smooth water 5meters from camp!
I agree with the Turtle Hunter, fisherman crowd the beach at that Winderbandi spot through summer and their boats along the shore take up the good flat water. It certainly detracts from the kiting making the 4wd in, general planning, sand in every orafice of your body and crossing Yardy Creek for supplies not worth it at all, I learnt the hard way. The fisherman also arent very friendly to outsiders and I wouldnt recomend trying to cramp their style when looking for a camp spot.
Sandy Bay is far easier and being in a national park you dont have the same problems with fishos, its an epic spot with plenty of room.
