well I sent this Julien a message, and it turns out he doesn't even have an IKO instructors certificate, so I reported his post to Gumtree.
I'm not really sure who polices instructors though. Maybe WAKSA

Can waska enforce such things?

This could turn out ugly for an inexperienced learner newb or even the public.

Hope he loses his ski too ......

Let's hope not. The day we let associations with a few hundred members (if they're lucky) make and enforce rules is the day Australia is a ****ty place to live.

Old mate is probably just trying to make some money. Maybe he's lost work and trying to put food on the table, maybe he's a pro, who knows and whilst he might not have the capabilities and resources of Christian and Darren, unless you've done lessons with him, he's probably no worse than my instructor who just yelled at me in in broken english. At least he's thought about a ski possible being helpful. A kite school with a ski could make money in a certain part of perth

As for the board thing, sometimes **** happens to even the most experienced kiters

Next time I see someone teaching how to drive a car, I'll make sure to report it to Police...

No one polices instructors, there's no enforceable legislation to work with. WAKSA have no authority, its effectively nothing more than s lobby group. Perhaps the local government can ping him if he doesn't have a permit to operate from a particular beach...
